Accomodation - A 4 bedroom bungalow(private rental) located on the Atlantic seaboard north of Cape Towns busy V&A Waterfront.

Bikes - BMW R1150GS hired via from SAMT(South Africa Motorcycle tours).

Composition of group - Gerry and Owen Williams, and Terry and Lee Pitman and Ian Forbes( and my Mums coming to escape the rigours of an English winter for the week!)

Day 1 - A gentle ride to Cape Point(Cape of Good Hope) 127M Day 2 - Cape A'agulhas 365M Day 3- Clanwilliams 300M Day 4- Worcester via the passes 240M Day 5- Round the Klein Nederburg 222M Day 6-The Garden Route some exquisite twisties to tax us and stops to look around some of the Capes vinyards and pick up a bottle or 2 to bring home! |
Latest news;
12/11/06 All booked and paid for routes are all done and I have the correct location for the Bungalow now! Completed testing of the GPS on the bike through the summer and no dramas in the UK! 23/11/06 A forth member of the "6-pack" may ride again. Ian Forbes from Worcester who I shared a room with in India contacted me to find out if the trip was on and if there was room for one more.He is currently taking part in the Plymouth-Banjul challenge and is going to get back in touch when he gets home. 18/01/07 Having completed the Plymouth-Banjul challenge Ian is going to join us in SA.So a bit of quick checking on the web for flights and bikes etc |
